Lately, I have been working 15 hour days. This has left my poor, wonderful husband to do all of our packing and make all of our preparations for the big move this weekend. I know he is stressed out beyond belief and I feel so bad for not being able to participate fully in our move. I am stressed out beyond belief as well, but not because of the move. I just cannot believe that I work 15 hour days and STILL need to come in on the weekends. I won't say that I cannot handle my job, but I am definitely getting pretty irritated with not having time for my life because of work. It is not like I am a professional -- although I work like one, I am certainly not paid like one.
Enough about that!
High points of my week: (aside from having Monday off)
Having the opportunity to sit down over lunch with the CEO of Blue Bell Creameries and voice my complaints about how they do not offer enough variety in their pints of ice cream. Seriously, who gets to do that?
My discovery of Absolut Peach.
10 PM spinach and corn tamales with my sweetheart.
Low points of my week:
Not getting to spend nearly enough time (or none at all) with my mister.
My OVERWHELMING work load.
Dealing with the alarm people yesterday.

Most interesting things to happen to me in the last seven days:
1. My Hurricane Souvenir:
Most people who venture to New Orleans and have a famous Hurricane from Pat O'Brien's come away with a nice souvenir Pat O's Hurricane glass. Me? I come away with two skinned knees and a damaged stiletto. I am such a winner.
2. The baseball game superheroes:
Last night, I went to an Astros game for work. At some point during the game -- and maybe after a couple of drinks -- a group of 10+ guys dressed up like superheroes in the upper mezzanine section caught my eye. For the remainder of the evening I was obsessed with going to see them up close. At the end of the night, Elizabeth agreed to go up with me as we were leaving, and yours truly got her photo op! It turns out the Hulk was getting married and this was his bachelor party. BEST. IDEA. EVER.

Today is the first day of my new blog. Up to this point I have been blogging on myspace (how lame is that?) and I have decided that I like it so much I am going to get a real blog so I can type type type all the time!
Some things about me:
I am 22 years old and married to the handsomest man I know.
We just bought our first home and will be moving in in two weeks.
Oh, and I work a lot.
